Since June of 2015, I have been a designer in the IDHF department at Ethicon in Blue Ash, Ohio. In my role, I have supported and contributed to the innovation and development of laparoscopic surgery tools in both energy and endomechanical product lines. But the true reward that invigorates me every day is knowing that the work I do changes lives for the better for patients, doctors, and others involved in providing care.

May We Help is a non profit organization that brings makers and the disabled together in order to create custom items to enhance and enable quality of life. Together with my team from Ethicon, we worked with Abby, a young girl with limited mobility in her right arm and a uniquely formed left hand. Working onsite in the maker space of May We Help, I hacked together a custom brace made from a baseball wrist guard and components from a wheelchair in order to enable Maddy to play tennis with her parents.

Vayu is an autonomous drone system designed to transport essential medical supplies and samples to remote areas in developing countries with unreliable vehicle access.
